shorter rides - cycle rides from Bletchley

  • the following rides are organised by Richard Forrest, a CTC member
  • all rides start at 10:00 a.m. from Elizabeth Square Bandstand in Bletchley (unless otherwise stated)
  • the rides were started to get more people out on their bikes and to show how easy it is to get around Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas
  • rides are approximately 20 miles (unless otherwise stated) and are taken at a pace to suit the slowest with plenty of stops if needed
  • children are welcome but under 16's must be accompanied by a responsible adult
  • rides will use a mixture of surfaces so robust tyres are advisable
  • rides use redways, shared paths and quiet roads where possible
  • you are advised to ensure that your bicycle is in a roadworthy condition and carry a puncture repair kit
  • bring along a drink or some money to buy something at the stop, we usually stop about half-way or so
  • helmets are a personal choice - you will not be stopped from riding if you're not wearing one
  • please note that these rides are not a race or a trial of speed
  • rides are on open, public shared paths and roads so you are expected to follow the rules of the road and show consideration to other users
  • rides are led but routes are not way-marked or marshalled
  • the organiser cannot provide any rescue service so you are responsible for your own safety & conduct
  • PT = in conjunction with the Parks Trust as part of their Easy Rider rides programme
